Sal is the Director of Finance at Moneco Advisors, where he brings a combination of operational scaling experience, financial rigor, and entrepreneurial instinct to the firm’s growth trajectory. With a career spanning finance, operations, and executive leadership, Sal is known for translating complex financial and organizational challenges into clear, actionable strategy.
Sal spent nine years at Charles IT, ultimately serving as Partner across multiple executive roles, where he helped scale the company from $4M in revenue and 17 employees to $40M and 180 employees. His work there spanned building and optimizing core business functions across finance, sales, marketing, procurement, and people operations, giving him a holistic view of how every part of an organization connects to drive sustainable growth.
Beyond Charles IT, Sal has built a track record as an entrepreneur and operator. He was Co-Founder and Board Member of Descent IT, which was successfully sold in 2026, and is the Founder & CEO of Marino Innovate, a fractional CFO/COO advisory practice helping organizations professionalize their finance and operations functions as they scale.
Sal is also the former founder and host of the One Pour Problems business podcast, where he sat down with business and community leaders to explore real-world challenges around leadership, growth, risk, and innovation. Through the podcast and his speaking engagements, he’s built a reputation for a grounded, relatable perspective on executive decision-making, growth strategy, and organizational resilience.
Sal is actively involved in Connecticut’s business community and serves on the boards of the Connecticut Technology Council and the CBIA Foundations Workforce Development Council. He was also recognized as a 2023 Hartford Business Journal 40 under 40 honoree for his professional leadership and community involvement.
Sal holds a BS in Accounting, an MBA in Financial Forensics, and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He lives in Middletown, Connecticut with his family, and outside of work is a bourbon, golf, and cigar enthusiast who believes the best conversations, and the best deals, happen when people feel comfortable being real.
