Welcome to our Insights blog! This week’s topic regards navigating student loans.
The blog covers understanding, applying for and managing student loans as well as understanding how and when to pay back the various types of loans.
Handling student loans can seem overwhelming but understanding one’s options and developing a repayment plan can make it more manageable. Community: Closest To The Pin
While our priorities lie in creating financial foundations for our clients, every so often, we make time for our Moneco team members to give back to the community in special events like the recent Fairfield Police Union Golf Tournament to raise funds for its Scholarship program recipients.
Last week, from our Fairfield and New Canaan, CT practices, three team members joined this event and our Partner and Financial Planner, Eric, won the “Closest to the Pin” contest!
Learn more about the scholarship recipients and the program in the link below.

Set Your Sights On The Long-Term
As we approach the upcoming presidential election in November 2024, we find ourselves in a familiar yet uncertain landscape. Polls indicate a tight race, echoing the competitive spirit seen in many past elections. And while the presidential race may create waves of excitement or anxiety, it’s essential to keep our eyes on the long-term horizon.
Historically, election years can bring volatility, but we are focused on crafting financial plans that can withstand changes throughout the years.
Looking back at the challenges of previous election years, including the lessons from the last 22 elections and beyond, we present an objective review of the U.S. presidential elections below via our “Learn More” link. The detail in this synopsis by Capital Group/American Funds details a timeline regarding how markets have fluctuated over the last 90 years surrounding the elections.
It remains our belief that adhering to a long-term strategy is crucial. Please reach out to your advisor if you have questions regarding your financial plan or want to discuss these topics.
