The Wealth Management Internship offers a unique learning experience in the world of personal financial planning. Interns will gain hands-on exposure to investment research, client service, and financial planning, while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
You’ll contribute directly to the firm’s client service, investment research, and planning activities, while completing a comprehensive financial planning project. Your work will span four key areas:
Asset Management & Research
- Use Morningstar to complete quarterly investment reports and monitor current holdings.
- Assist in portfolio research to support advisor decisions and investment committee reviews.
Financial Communication & Marketing Support
- Create actionable social media and digital content to promote the firm’s brand.
- Analyze digital metrics to provide data-driven insights for advisor use.
Financial Planning & Case Study
- Apply tools such as eMoney, Orion, and Riskalyze to support planning and asset allocation.
- Complete a financial planning case study from discovery meeting through plan presentation.
Operations & CRM
- Utilize the firm’s CRM system to refine client service processes.
- Assist in maintaining securities databases and workflow management.
What We’re Looking For
- At least two years of college coursework completed with a GPA of 3.4+ (exceptions considered).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (writing samples required).
- Team player who can also work independently on larger tasks.
- Interest in wealth management, client service, and financial planning.
- Experience with Morningstar, Bloomberg, or CRM systems a plus.
