Experience:
Salim joined Moneco Advisors in January 2023, bringing 15 years of experience along with him. Starting his journey in the industry in 2007, Salim worked as a paid intern at a Wall Street brokerage firm during his senior year in college. Shortly after graduation in June 2008, Salim experienced an exceptionally challenging time during the Financial Crisis of 2008. It was during this “baptism by fire” that Salim began to appreciate the value a trusted financial advisor can provide to clients. Since then, Salim has dedicated himself to advancing his knowledge and understanding of financial planning and advice.
Education & Certifications:
Building upon his B.S. in Finance from Fordham University, Salim earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation in 2016 and his Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certification in 2020. Beyond pursuing professional certifications, Salim joined the Financial Planning Association of CT to network with and learn from senior advisors in the industry. After 7 years of service on the FPA board, Salim was recently named President of the FPA of Connecticut for 2023.
Personal:
Outside of work, Salim enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their children, Blake and Juliet. Salim and his family love living in Trumbull and being a part of the great community that it offers. Salim loves to volunteer as a coach for his son Blake’s Tee-ball and Rec basketball leagues in town. Salim’s other favorite things to do (in no particular order); being outdoors at every opportunity, going to live music & comedy shows with his wife, attending sporting events, whiskey, steak dinners, and Friday night pizza/movie with his kids.
