Advisor Insights: Tax Planning & Money Conversations
Preparing For April
Tax season is officially underway.
While many view April as the finish line, at Moneco we see it as a checkpoint–an opportunity to look beyond filing and begin planning ahead.
Accurate, organized tax preparation matters. Gathering documents early, communicating clearly, and discussing any life or business changes can help minimize stress and avoid surprises–especially as financial complexity grows. Multiple income sources, investments, real estate, or business activity all add layers that benefit from proactive coordination and candid money conversations.
But the real opportunity begins after the return is complete. A finalized tax return provides a valuable snapshot–revealing how income, investments, and deductions worked together and where adjustments could improve outcomes. Reviewing it thoughtfully allows us to align tax strategy with investment decisions, contribution planning, and evolving tax laws.
By integrating tax preparation, planning, candid money conversations and wealth management, we help clients look past April–and position the year ahead with greater clarity and confidence.

Market Pulse
Looking Ahead With Perspective: Momentum Builds, but Discipline Still Matters
Emerging markets (EM) have been on a strong run, and the outlook suggests the momentum may continue.
A softer U.S. dollar–especially if the Federal Reserve eases rates–could enhance returns for U.S. investors, while EM earnings are projected to outpace those in the U.S. and Europe in 2026, driven by efficiency, governance improvements, and innovation.
Technology remains a key catalyst. Countries like Taiwan, South Korea, and China are central to the global AI supply chain, particularly in semiconductors, positioning EM to benefit from AI’s ongoing growth. Valuations are still attractive compared with U.S. equities, highlighting potential long-term opportunities.
However, risks persist. Inflation, global market volatility, high earnings expectations, and geopolitical tensions could pose challenges.
Overall, EM strength appears grounded in fundamentals, underscoring the importance of a disciplined, long-term investment strategy.

The Family Table Audio Series
Welcome to The Family Table: Key Legacy Conversations, a four-part audio series from Moneco Advisors. Conversations around legacy, estate planning, and family intentions are often the most meaningful, and the most avoided.
In this series, our colleagues Ginnie Thompson and Chris Levene, CFP® share how they approach meaningful discussions with families, why these conversations matter, and the role thoughtful planning plays in helping to create clarity and understanding.
This audio series is part of our ongoing effort to imbue perspective and insight into planning conversations that shape long-term family and financial outcomes. We hope the series encourages thoughtful dialogue and provides a clearer understanding of how these topics are approached in practice.
